More About Myself

I have been helping individuals, families and children for over 29 years. I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a Clinical Member of the Canadian Association of Psychoanalytic Child Therapists.

I have a Bachelor Degree in Honours Psychology, U of Waterloo. I also trained at CICAPP-Canadian Institute of Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program (Formerly TCPP). CICAPP is a 4 year Master's Level training program that specializes in psychoanalytic psychotherapy with children and adolescents. This training also allowed me to explore, through personal analysis, my own unconscious. In order to be able to understand children, adolescents and adults and their confusion, distress, anger and despair, you have to be aware of the workings of your own internal world and be as grounded as possible in reality.

I am a member of the Toronto Psychoanalytic Society and a member of the TPS Supervision Group: Working with Adults as a means to continue my education in psychoanalytic psychotherapy with adults.

I am also a Clinical Supervisor to students and registered psychotherapists. Registered Psychotherapists will not be permitted to practice independently - without clinical supervision, until they have completed 1000 direct client contact hours and 150 hours of clinical supervision over the course of their professional careers. This limitation will apply to all members, whether they register via grandparenting or the regular route.
